Fairfax Dentist Offers Cerec for Single-Visit Crowns

Dr. William Stringham, dentist in Fairfax, is experienced in using CEREC technology to restore his patients smiles in a single appointment.

2012-09-06
FAIRFAX, VA, September 06, 2012 (Press-News.org) Dr. William Stringham, dentist in Fairfax, VA, is pleased that his practice is able to utilize CEREC technology to create crowns, fillings and veneers in just a single appointment. This technology allows Dr. Stringham to offer superior dental service to his patients in Fairfax.

"I believe that CEREC allows our practice to offer a tremendous level of service to our patients. Instead of taking two or three weeks to put a crown in, we are able to do so in a single appointment. The patient will be able to leave the same day with a fully constructed dental crown. I look forward to continuing to use CEREC to successfully treat our patients," said Dr. Stringham, family dentist in Fairfax.

Before CEREC in Fairfax, receiving a dental crown was much more complicated. To do so, a dentist had to take a messy impression of the tooth and then send it to a dental lab. During the two to three weeks in between appointments, patients would wear a temporary crown before the permanent crown would be attached.

CEREC uses special imaging technology to get an accurate digital representation of the patient's tooth. Using specialized software, Dr. Stringham then is able to design a crown that will fit in perfectly with the patient's tooth. An on-site milling machine is then used to physically create the crown, which Dr. Stringham will then permanently attach to the patient's tooth.

To schedule an appointment with Dr. Stringham, patients can either call (703) 273-5545 or use the online appointment request form. To do this, patients simply have to enter in the date, time and a few words detailing the nature of their appointment into the online form. Shortly after, the practice's scheduling coordinator will follow up with a confirmation email.

To learn more about Dr. Stringham, his staff or any of the services that are offered at his practice including Fairfax mini-implants, patients are encouraged to visit his practice's comprehensive dental website at http://www.stringhamdental.com.

Penn State Scandal May Change State Law, Extend Time to File Charges It is a piece of legislation that is more than six years in the making. The proposal aims to give victims of childhood sexual abuse more time to hold abusers accountable for their actions, allowing an extension on filing deadlines for civil and criminal suits. A bill attempting to reduce the rate of these injuries to children should easily make it through the legislature and be passed, so why the delay? The House Judiciary Committee chairman has been notoriously reluctant to advance bills addressing ...
