Talented Playwright Pam Rea presents the Play "Angels With Out Wings" in New Jersey inspired by Governer Chris Christie Speach

Angels With Out Wings is a story of how people enter into your life with a mixed impact. Some of those can take you to a tragic place, others, Angels With Out Wings can lift you to heights that you never ever dreamed or imagined for yourself!

2012-09-06
YORK, PA, September 06, 2012 (Press-News.org) Angels With Out Wings is a play about addictions, and recovery. The first performance opened in 2007 off Broadway at the height of the writer's strike, which turned out to be a blessing, because the opening night brought out a full house. After the success of opening night, Pam Rea knew she had to continue to take this positive message city to city. She also decided to make a Spanish version of the play "Angeles Sin Alas", to accommodate other ethnicity's and spread the word in a multi- cultural way.

Mrs. Rea is a long time resident of the state of New Jersey and after hearing Governor Chris Christie's town hall speech at Christian Love Baptost Church in Irvington N.J., where he stated he wants to change laws sentencing non violent drug addicted perps to rehab, it inspired her to present her next production of Angels With Out Wings in New Jersey to help others understand the disease in which millions deal with every day.

Did you know in 2009, approximately 22.5 million Americans aged 12 or older needed treatment for substance abuse and addiction (alcohol or illicit drugs)? Of these, only 3.8 million people received it!

71% percent of illegal drug users are employed.

Alcoholism causes 500 million lost workdays each year!

In adults 50 years and older, alcohol was the most frequently reported primary substance of abuse for all substance abuse treatment admissions. Of those admissions, 76% of the population was 65 and older!

According to The National Survey on Drug Use and Health, in 2010 about 3.1 million persons aged 12 to 25 (5.3%) had reported using over-the-counter (OTC) cough and cold medication to get high for non-medical reasons, and nearly 1 million persons aged 12 to 25 (1.7%) have used an over-the-counter medication

It is Ms. Pam Rea's goal to bring this play to life on Television or Documentary within the next year and to keep advocating for recovery from addiction.

This Performance is dedicated to Those Who Have Lost Their Battle With Addictions and Are No Longer With Us.Pam Rea is the playwright and producer of Angels With Out Wings and the CEO AWOW Enterprises. Wendell McQuilla is the Video Producer/Editor of the excerpt.
