ATLANTA, GA, September 06, 2012 (Press-News.org) Positive American Youth, Inc. (P.A.Y. USA), chaired by Atlanta radio personality Maurice "Reec" Swiney announces the 2012 5th Annual PAY USA "PAY DAY". The yearly event which benefits metro Atlanta children & their families will be held, Saturday Sept. 29th @ Atlanta Metro College. The fun begins at 11 am and lasts until 4 pm.
The purpose of the "PAY DAY" event is to promote the importance of education, healthcare, community involvement, and perseverance to urban children. "We are proud to say last years' event was very successful," says Reec. "There were over 3,000 people in attendance of which 2,700 attendees were children between the ages of six through seventeen. That was an incredible turnout and we're hoping to match or even double that number this year."
2012 Partnerships for the PAY USA 2012 "PAY DAY" Benefit include the NBA Legends, Radio One Atlanta, United Athletes Foundation and its various celebrity supporters. Additionally, event sponsors are teaming up to compete in the 5th Annual PAY DAY Celebrity Basketball Game. Celebrities, professional athletes and entertainers will take the court to play against The Hotshots of Atlanta's Hot 107.9 FM for the annual Celebrity Basketball Game.
PAYUSA will sponsor a FREE fundamental Basketball clinic in the morning from 11 am to 12:30 pm. Additionally, PAYUSA has also partnered with International USTA Tennis Pro Greg Amerson, Professional Tennis Player Epiphany Turner and Jr. Champ Brooke Smith to host a FREE Youth Tennis Clinic at 1 pm. Both clinics are for children ages 7 to 14 years old. Following the camp there will be a Drum-line Competition featuring talents from surrounding High schools.
This event will serve as a fundraiser for PAYUSA so the organization's programs can remain free year round for its participants. Currently PAYUSA has serviced over 14,000 youth per month with FREE SERVICES.
