Singer/songwriter Ann Kelly Posts 3rd "Femme Fatale" Video From EP 'Petals and Thorns'

Ann Kelly's Song Videos Evoke The Vivid Imagery And Romance Of Dark Film-noir, From Bogart And Bacall To Pulp Fiction

2012-09-07
ASTORIA, NY, September 07, 2012 (Press-News.org) Los Angeles based singer/songwriter Ann Kelly and her indie label October Daze Records announce that the third full length video from her debut recording 'Petals and Thorns' is now available on YouTube for the song 'Between The Lines'. The new video embodies the noir era of Lauren Bacall and Rita Hayworth with Kelly's powerful yet feminine vocal style. "Kelly's performances strike the right notes of assertiveness, playfulness, and hurt... a femme fatale undermined by a vulnerable heart," wrote critic Russ Buchanan of examiner.com.

Videos for the first two singles from the album, "Who Do You Think You're Foolin'" and "Undone Without You" were previously posted, receiving thousands of views on YouTube, and both songs have received significant airplay on trend-setting stations including KPIG FM. All three videos were directed by Jae Feinberg in Los Angeles. Other tracks from the EP include "It Must Be Good To Be King", Won't Let Me Love Again", and the bluesy "She Dances Alone", which has had a consistent top twenty presence on the Slacker.com Modern Blues channel.

The recording was produced by two-time Emmy winning composer and keyboardist Mark Ross, featuring Los Angeles session notables Tim Pierce on guitar and Emmy winner Danny Pelfrey on sax. Ann Kelly's sound and lyrics bring to mind current British artists Rumer and Adele with a splash of classic Peggy Lee.

Ann Kelly and October Daze Records have retained the services of David Bean at BeanBag1 Entertainment and subsidiary Artist Airplay Advisors, led by VP of Promotion J. P. Mosoff, for public relations and radio promotion. Located in Monterey, CA, BeanBag1 Indie Label Services and Artist Airplay Advisors Radio Promotion have been successful over the past four years in placing unsigned indie bands on broadcast, internet, and satellite radio, as well as into national CD and Digital distribution.
