WILMINGTON, DE, September 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) Early Stage East, one of the original venture conferences in the venture capital era, proudly announces its 15th anniversary capital conference slated for October 4, 2012 at the historical Down Town Club in Philadelphia, PA.
ESE returns with the effective and popular 'Club Pitch' format, which combines some of the most promising early-stage companies with the top venture and angel investors in the region.
"Early Stage East was conceived to be a one-time event," stated ESE founder and chairman David J. Freschman. "It's just unbelievable how this event has grown in the past 15 years providing entrepreneurs and their companies a platform to launch and acquire venture capital financing."
With the emergence and dominance of social media companies, 'Club Pitch Philadelphia will celebrate this milestone year with a focus on social media and social enterprise companies. Only 20 companies have been selected from hundreds of applications to present in front of 150 active investors and funding sources.
Entrepreneur and Shark Tank co-star Daymond John will return as the pitch session moderator, while two educational panels will discuss and debate relevant topics. In addition, two prestigious awards - Sal Buccieri Venture Memorial Impact Award and Robert A. Spar Memorial Founders - will be awarded to ESE alumni and industry leaders.
"This year's event is especially important as it will highlight companies and entrepreneurs who first came to Early Stage East as concepts and have now grown to multi-million dollar businesses. It clearly demonstrates that with vision, hard work, perseverance and a platform like ESE, the spirit of entrepreneurs are alive and well in America!." stated Freschman.
As a proven catalyst for entrepreneurship growth on the East Coast, Early Stage East has become the benchmark for successful and growth-driven conferences. Since its inception in 1998, over 700 companies have presented at the conference and have gone on to raise more than $1billion in institutional funding in the last 15 years.
