BRIDGEPORT, CT, September 09, 2012 (Press-News.org) Attorney Kathleen Nastri was elected by the members of the American Association for Justice's (AAJ) Board of Governors to serve on AAJ's Executive Committee. Attorney Nastri will serve on the committee for the 2012-2013 term. The purpose of the Executive Committee is to oversee the management of AAJ. Members are selected by election or by virtue of other positions held, and two members are appointed directly by the President of AAJ. Elections took place at the AAJ annual summer convention, which was held in Chicago in July.
Kathleen is an attorney at the Bridgeport-based firm Koskoff, Koskoff, & Bieder. Her focus at the firm is on medical malpractice, personal injury, and other complex cases. Recently, Kathleen won a $58 million malpractice verdict--the largest in Connecticut history--for a family whose son suffered a birth injury that resulted in Cerebral palsy.
In 2003, Kathleen was elected as the first woman president of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. Before her election to the Executive Committee of AAJ, Kathleen was a member of the Board of Governors, National Finance Committee, PAC Board of Trustees and Public Affairs Committees. She has always been an active member of the trial lawyers' community, and is honored to have been elected to the Executive Committee of AAJ.
