MindStir Media Author Releases Unique Children's Ebook About a Shoe Cobbler

Danielle Benji, with the help of MindStir Media, has published her ebook, Emily Meets the Cobbler.

SILVER SPRING, MD, September 12, 2012 (Press-News.org) Danielle Benji has written a beautiful story, Emily Meets the Cobbler, which introduces young readers to the shoe repair profession. At 35 pages, the title is a quick read and includes wonderful full-color illustrations viewable on color-capable ereading devices.

Ms. Benji's mother - a successful entrepreneur and shoe repair shop owner - inspired her to write Emily Meets the Cobbler. "I wanted to write about it and teach the newer generation that shoe cobblers exist and they can take care of their shoes," said Benji.

Emily Meets the Cobbler opens as a young girl, Emily, discovers that her favorite dress-up shoes have lost their color. She contemplates throwing away the shoes, but soon learns about the shoe cobbler and takes them to a shoe repair shop with her mom. Emily is surprised to find that the shoe cobbler isn't who she envisioned...

"I feel that it's really important to expose children to different professions," said J. J. Hebert of MindStir Media, the author's publishing provider. "There are loads of children's books that center on doctors, nurses, and athletes - but we don't hear much about shoe cobblers... The shoe repair profession is still alive and well and Emily Meets the Cobbler will give kids a glimpse into the world of a cobbler."
