Wake Tech to Offer Course on Understanding, Improving Sales

8-Week Program to Cover Basic Sales Techniques to Help Sales People, Business Owners

RALEIGH, NC, September 12, 2012 (Press-News.org) Wake Technical Community College will be offering an eight-week course titled "Sales for People Who Need Customers" starting Thursday, September 13, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the Western Wake campus, Millpond Village Building in Room 101, located at 3434 Kildaire Farm Road in Cary. The course, taught by Jim Joyce of Sales Partners Inc., will cover basic sales techniques, from the initial introduction stage through closing and building relationships, using role plays and other adult learning techniques to facilitate the learning process.

"This program is designed to help sales people and business owners better understand sales, their market and the decision makers they're trying to reach," said Jim Joyce, president of Sales Partners, Inc. "Ultimately we want to help people present themselves and their companies in the best light and empower them with time-tested and proven techniques that will help them close new business."

Joyce has more than 30 years of experience successfully teaching, coaching and mentoring sales and business leaders, helping people work effectively and efficiently to achieve their greatest potential. He is also a Certified Master Sales Trainer (Learning International) who coaches and judges business programs at the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School as well as conducts seminars and classes for Technical Community Colleges in N.C., Chambers of Commerce, Professional Organizations and private industries.

The eight-week program is held in a traditional classroom environment with instructor-led lectures, exercises and activities. The course costs $65 and runs every Thursday, 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. from September 13 through November 1.
