NEW YORK, NY, September 12, 2012 (Press-News.org) Meeting the growing demand for 4K projection outside of cinema applications, Christie announced the official launch of Christie Twist 4K at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2012 today. Designed for Christie 4K, 3-chip DLP projectors used in business applications, Christie Twist 4K enables the warping, blending and color matching of multi-projector displays in large-screen, fixed installation applications including amusement parks, automotive designs, museums and planetariums that require exceptionally large images in a multi-channel (tiled) format.
Christie Twist 4K creates uniform, tiled images with superior color consistency across the entire display when using several projectors and is on display at the Christie booth with the new Christie D4K25, 25,000 lumen projector.
"Whether it's a flat or curved surface, with Christie Twist 4K, ProAV professionals can now blend and color match images from multiple 4K projectors - easily creating large, ultra-high resolution canvasses that will amaze audiences like never before," said George Tsintzouras, senior director, product management for Business Products, Christie.
Christie Twist 4K is equipped with Quad DVI input, allowing for the use of standard DVI sources. "With Christie Twist 4K, Christie expands its 4K solution offering and gives end users the ability to create large, high-pixel density panoramas that show their content with the finest detail, without distortion," Tsintzouras concluded.
Christie Twist 4K comes with a two-year parts and labor warranty backed by Christie's renowned sales and service support. It is displayed at the Christie booth September 7-11 and ships in October.
