The annual Kings Park Festival takes place in Perth throughout September.

2010-08-20
PERTH, AUSTRALIA, August 20, 2010 (Press-News.org) Lovers of the great outdoors should find plenty to keep them occupied in Perth next month when the annual Kings Park Festival comes to town.

The event runs throughout September 2010 and organisers at the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority have promised that this year's occasion will be bigger and better than ever before.

Venues throughout the park, which stretches for approximately 1,000 acres, will play host to an array of activities that are designed to appeal to both young and old, and to people with a wide range of interests.

One of the events to be included on this packed bill is Contemporary Sounds, a musical showcase featuring blues act the Sneaky Weasel Gang, plus Western Australian singer-songwriter Xave Brown.

Anyone staying one of the cheap hotels Perth has to offer who is keen to enjoy the music should make their way to Kings Park on September 19th, with artists set to take to the stage between 10:30 and 17:00 local time.

Guests at Perth hotels also have plenty of other activities to enjoy at the festival, including a display of wildflower photography on September 11th and a tour of the Botanic Garden with a horticulturalist on September 21st.

Some of the shows, walks and workshops on offer throughout the event are ticketed, while others are free of charge.

For more information on this event, visit the Kings Park Festival website or contact the organisers on (+61) 8 9480 3600.
