Houston Attorney Daniel Horowitz Named President of the University of Texas Silver Spurs Alumni Association

Mr. Horowitz has been on the board of directors of UT's Silver Spurs Alumni Association for 7 years, and he returns to campus each year to speak with incoming and active members.

HOUSTON, TX, September 17, 2012 (Press-News.org) Attorney Daniel D. Horowitz III, a partner at Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Friend in Houston, Texas, was recently named president of the University of Texas (UT) Silver Spurs Alumni Association for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Mr. Horowitz has been on the board of directors of UT's Silver Spurs Alumni Association for 7 years. He returns to campus each year to speak with the incoming and active members of the Silver Spurs. Last fall, he discussed the dangers of hazing, alcohol abuse, individual responsibility and accountability, as well as the importance of becoming a leader at UT.

Named a Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine the last four years, attorney Daniel Horowitz has been consistently recognized as an up-and-coming Texas attorney under the age of 40. He graduated from the University of Texas with Silver Spur honors and then went on to receive his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2002. In 2008, he became board-certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Mr. Horowitz serves on the board of the Texas Association of Civil Trial and Appellate Specialists (TACTAS) and is particularly passionate about organizations that help people who might not otherwise receive justice. He also serves on the board of directors for the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.
