HOUSTON, TX, September 19, 2012 (Press-News.org) In 2010, Taylor Morrison introduced the Inspired Series at Avalon at Telfair in Sugar Land to attract a growing but under-served market in the Houston area--multigenerational families. Taylor Morrison's strategy has paid off big, in less than 18 months 230 homes have sold at an average price of $624,000 and less than 20 home sites are available.

"The week we opened presales at Avalon at Telfair 25 contracts with $10,000 earnest money checks came in. Multigenerational families typically include adults, children of various ages, older family members and/or extended visitors. The Inspired Series introduced private apartment size adult suites and casitas, dual master suites, up to six bedrooms in select plans, large multi-functional rooms, and front courtyards on 80- and 90-ft. home sites. Taylor Morrison offers the Legacy Series on 70-ft. home sites. Home prices currently range from the $500,000s to $1 million.

The Tuscany and Marseille models at Avalon at Telfair won numerous design awards at the Greater Houston Builder Associations - Houston's Best PRISM Awards in 2011. The Marseille model won in the $400,000-$500,000 product design category and the Tuscany won in the $500,000-plus product design category. The Tuscany model is currently for sale at $1.1 million.
