Innovation in Incident Management. Vocal's "Incident Log" is Shortlisted for the Third Year Running in the Emergency Planning Society's Resilience Awards

This year sees Vocal's latest addition to the award winning iModus suite, Incident Log being shortlisted in the category for Most Innovative Product of the Year.

ESSEX, ENGLAND, September 19, 2012

This award seeks a proven commitment to launching an innovative yet practical product which supports the emergency planning message throughout the industry. Vocal's short listing in this category is a testament to the work carried out within the public sector.

Incident Log revolutionises the way that organisations record, reveal and retain information during incidents. By increasing transparency across single and multi-agency events Incident Log improves the quality of content and the availability of auditable and admissible records. The award submission demonstrates how Vocal achieved objectives in partnership with Guy's and St Thomas NHS Trust from identification of a problem, through the design and development stages and ultimately with the product delivering great benefits in a trust wide live exercise.

Managing Director of Vocal stated, "We are proud to be shortlisted for another industry award this year. It's an honour to be recognised again for our continuous contributions to the emergency planning industry. We have a portfolio of products implemented widely emergency planning and business continuity teams, backed by some dedicated and skilled people working at the organisation. Being shortlisted brings a great sense of achievement to everyone at Vocal."

In addition to being implemented within the NHS, Incident Log was selected and used extensively by the Cross-sector Safety and Security Communications (www.cssc.gb.com) before, during and after the London 2012 games. Incident Log was used for daily communications audit for the London Resilience Team, Business Liaison Officers and the Metropolitan Police. The inclusion of Incident Log enabled every hub administrator to collaborate on one live record to seamlessly log and track any note, comment and communication as events occurred.

The winners will be announced this Wednesday 19th September at a gala dinner in Northamptonshire.
