Katz joins the eight other attorneys on staff at the firm's downtown Chicago office.

Katz received his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2004 and undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2000. Prior to joining The Patterson Law Firm, LLC in September of 2012, Katz worked for a boutique Chicago firm where he represented individuals, private and public corporations and law firms in litigation, trials and alternative dispute resolution involving professional liability and disciplinary issues. In that capacity, Katz originated and obtained in excess of $10,000,000 for his clients in legal and accounting malpractice matters. In addition, Katz has developed a practice representing athletes and entertainers in actions involving their professional advisers. In those matters, Katz obtained a judgment in the amount of $2,550,377 for a professional athlete in an action involving failed purchase of a professional sports franchise and $1,366,667 for a professional athlete in an action against his former accountant and agent.
