SPRINGBORO, OH, October 08, 2010 (Press-News.org) WE Mean Business Dayton (WE-MBD)—a group of women entrepreneurs—is hosting a one-of-a-kind networking event, called Execs in the City with proceeds benefiting Crayons to Classrooms. The 2-year old, local non-profit organization that provides basic school supplies at no cost to teachers of children in need.
"Our group features six women-owned businesses who felt the call to help a local, worthy cause. Individually, we didn't feel we could offer much support. But collectively, we feel we can make a huge impact for Crayons to Classrooms," said Lin Favour, of Global Event Management, a charter member of WE-MBD.
The Execs in the City event will be held on October 12, 2010 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Cox Arboretum in their Fifth Third conference center. The evening will be filled with wine, appetizers, jazz music from the Eddie Brookshire Quintet, silent auctions and business networking.
Tickets are $50, with $35 directly supporting Crayons to Classroom. Tickets may be purchased at http://www.dc2c.org.
Crayons to Classrooms performs a vital function by partnering with local Dayton schools who are in need, providing necessary school supplies. Most of the supplies are donated by individuals and local businesses. But the need continues, especially as the next school year approaches.
McGohan Brabender, Inc. is a platinum level supporter for the charity event which benefits Dayton's Crayon to Classrooms.
