Tim Yerby to Lead VariBlend's New Center for Research & Development

John Hewson, CEO and President of VariBlend Dual Dispensing Systems, announced the opening of a state-of-the-art Center for Research & Development to be headed by newly appointed Vice President of Operations, Tim Yerby.

WHITEHOUSE, NJ, September 26, 2012 (Press-News.org) VariBlend established the Center to enable a greater range of customers to explore its dual-chambered variable ratio dispensing package. The Center is equipped with all of the resources to support application development, product design, application testing and trial run product filling. Lead by Yerby, the 6,000 square-foot facility, based in Greenville, SC, is currently staffed with a supply chain manager, package design engineers and laboratory technicians.

Yerby brings an extensive resume of packaging expertise to Variblend, and as VP of Operations, will oversee production, customer service, application development and innovation. His past experience includes various managerial and director level positions at Precision Valve Corporation and Seaquist Perfect Dispensing.

Hewson commented, "Tim's track record with respect to leadership, package development, and innovation is outstanding and speaks for itself. His expertise, combined with the resources of our new R&D Center, will make it possible for a much larger range of consumer brands to discover the many advantages of VariBlend's variable flow packaging solutions. To date, Yerby has been directly involved in the development and creation of numerous patented packaging solutions, including: the Moritz and Vail locking actuators, the Fusion co-dispensing valve and formulation system, the Bottom Line inverted dispenser, and the Locking Mousse System.

"I look forward to continuing to grow VariBlend's reputation as a packaging industry innovator, Yerby added. Yerby earned a MBA concentrating in Marketing at DePaul University and a B.S. from Louisiana Tech University in Mechanical Engineering. He is also a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
