BELFAST, ME, September 27, 2012 (Press-News.org) North Wind Publishing (Belfast, Maine) publishes a new book, River Reflections: A 90-Day Devotional and Journal for People Who Love the Water. River Reflections is a 90-day devotional and journal to assist the reader with their bible study and meditations. Each day starts with a beautiful black and white river photo and bible verse. Broken into sections, "River Cruise," steers you toward portions of the bible you should read each day while "River Reflections" are the author's personal experiences living on the water and where she relates those experiences to biblical teachings. "Waterlines" is an area for the reader to jot down personal thoughts for the day, so this book becomes a keepsake journal.

River Reflections is the first in a series of devotionals written for people who love nature and the outdoors by author Patty Mondore.

If you love the water, and the One who created it, you will love River Reflections. Written from the author's favorite waterfront location in the beautiful Thousand Islands in northern New York, topics include everything nautical from lighthouses and wildlife to ships and river sunsets. As Patty shares some of her own devotional experiences, her fellow nature-lovers will become more aware of God's presence as they enjoy the water. They will also grow in their walk with God through a subject that is dear to their hearts, and His, too. Grab your book and be prepared for an inspirational and interactive time by the water.

Reviews:
Mondore, blends river stories and Christian teachings in her newest book. . .There are memories of a refreshing swim: tales of big ships and a ride in a classic wooden speedboat: observations about fish and fowl, including nests of great blue herons visible in the treetops on a bird sanctuary. . . Each meditation includes a river photo, most of them shot by Mondore, who is pediatric residency program coordinator at SUNY Upstate Medical University. The chapters in "River Reflections" also include space for the reader to jot down thoughts allowing the book to be turned into a personal journal.
