GONZALES, LA, September 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) Writer Crystal "DCS" Storm's groundbreaking science fiction series, Synarchy, has been about fate versus free will and the transforming of the soul into the next stage of evolution. Now, Storm has teamed up with well known Producer/Director Aaron L Williams to turn Synarchy into a web series.
Synarchy blends conspiracy theories of the New World Order with fact and fiction, making it a cross between Alias and Fringe. Thirteen bloodlines, The Roshaniya, fanatically loyal to their gods, the Anunnaki, have controlled the planet since history was written. They established the 13 Ruling Bloodlines, to worship them and help them maintain control over Earth. In 1925 Stefano Vasco Terenzio, head of the Terenzio crime family makes a deal with the Anunnaki to solidify his control over the American Mafia. Clever and manipulative, Stefano's true goal was to put his family in a position so one day they would be able to turn on their masters and gain control of Earth.
But, what started out as an "ego trip" turned into a quest to give humanity a choice it has never been given. When allies become enemies, and the tenuous link holding together the one family that can save humankind shatters, can the Terenzio's find the inner strength to finish what they started and expose the invisible chains that keep humanity down?
"I met DCS a couple of years ago and she gave me a copy of her first book ['Synarchy Book 1: The Awakening']," said Williams. "I was inspired to start a project that shows how the impossible is possible and Synarchy is it."
"The Synarchy series reflects that we as human beings have this incredible power over our own lives, and that the world is not such a mundane place," said DCS. "Magic is science, science is magic, and I think times are changing enough that we're slowly starting to realize that."
As anyone whose trying to step into the entertainment business knows, it's no easy feat to get a project out of meetings and into the production stage. Storm and Williams spent two years trying to bring Synarchy to life on the big screen and went through numerous movie scripts until they decided to make it a TV Series.
"Originally, we wanted to make Books 1 and 2 into a movie. But Aaron and I kept circling around and not liking any of the scripts because were forced to cut so much out," says DCS.
"Synarchy is massive in its storytelling potential," Williams added. "We finally realized it made more sense to make it a TV Series, because then we can tell the whole story."
To do that, and to show off the power of the indie film maker, on September 14th, Williams and Storm began filming a ten minute teaser that introduces The Synarchy Series to the public. The Promo is finished and has been submitted to several major festivals, such as the New York Television Film Festival.
"We have an 85 page pilot script ready to go. We intend to keep shooting it in approximately ten page increments to keep generating attention and raise money to get this story told," Williams said.
To help them out, Storm and Williams used social media tools like facebook to find actors to help them bring Synarchy to life.
"It was really important to us that we found the right people for the project. We wanted actors that read the script, got excited about the story, and just wanted to dive into it with us," Says Storm.
They found their cast, and The Synarchy Series TV Promo proves they made some excellent choices. The main characters in the story, Vasco, Lucien and Simone, are played by relative newcomers, Wes Lagarde, Becky Andrews and Andrew Vogel. They also got actors like Jackson Beals and Han Soto who have screen credit on popular mainstream shows like Common Law, Treme, and Breakout Kings to come on board.
Now that the promo has been filmed and is out the gate, Williams and Storm have no intention of slowing down.
"Now that we've broken that hurdle and got the first one finished, we're going to keep the momentum going," Storm said.
Keeping to breaking down the script into 10 to 12 page chunks, they intend to begin filming the pilot episode, titled after Storms first novel, "The Awakening".
"We're going to treat the promo, like the promotional tool it is. So, in the Pilot episode, we tell you how the triplets got to where you see them, and a lot more," Williams said.
Filming is scheduled to begin in the next six weeks. In the meantime, you can keep up to date with news, set pictures, cast interviews and more on their Facebook page.
