Rail Systems Company Announce Senior European Appointment to Lead Export Drive

Rail engineering systems house, Rowe Hankins, appoint David Lister as European sales manager to support and build their network of end-users, distributors and agents across Europe.

2012-09-30
LANCASHIRE, ENGLAND, September 30, 2012 (Press-News.org) Rail engineering systems house, Rowe Hankins, has announced that David Lister has joined the team as European sales manager. Covering the whole of Europe, David's remit is to support and build the network of end-users, distributors and agents for their UK manufactured systems for electrical anomaly detection, speed and distance monitoring, roll back protection and wheel/track interface lubrication.

Managing director Amanda Jones commented, "We have taken time and care to ensure that we have recruited the right person to meet our current and future requirements for export sales. David arrives at an exciting time for Rowe Hankins following two years of record sales and much re-investment in the company and our employees. We are seeing David's enthusiasm having a positive effect on the team and our customers."

Fluent in, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and German, David is a science graduate with 25 years of experience in high value export sales of capital equipment. He commented, "This will be a new challenge, but the team here in engineering, production and marketing has provided huge support and this has boosted my enthusiasm. With world-class rail safety products I am confident that we will make serious inroads into the European rail market. Rail professionals in all sectors, especially in developing economies like Eastern Europe and Turkey, are very receptive to new technology to make railway transport more efficient and safe."

David is a member of the Institute of Directors and lives in Hartford near Chester, close to his favourite golf club. A Boltonian and lifelong Wanderers supporter, David is also an avid history reader, keen swimmer and an ex-international water polo player.

Recently celebrating 25 years of continuous growth in 2011, Rowe Hankins offers a range of proven technologies to rail manufacturers and operators and a facility to analyse and develop solutions to electro-mechanical train and track problems and requirements. The engineering department is staffed by highly qualified rail systems engineers who use their experience and relationships with customers, prime manufacturers, OEM producers and other systems houses. This has already led to innovations in speed and distance sensing, roll-back protection and an emerging family of products to moderate frictional damage at the wheel/track interface.
