GARDEN CITY, NY, October 03, 2012 (Press-News.org) United Capital Source (UCS) has joined eleven other companies from the alternative small business lending industry in a fantasy football competition for charity. Each participant personally selected a charity to represent and all of the money will go to the winning team's pick at the end of the season.
"This winner-take-all format is especially interesting," said Weitz, CEO of UCS. "We selected Smile Train, an organization whose mission is to provide a child born with a cleft the same opportunities in life as a child born without a cleft. If we win, our pledged contribution would be multiplied many times over by the other league donors. If we lose, our pledge goes to one of the other eleven noble causes. We think this is a really fun way to give back."
UCS strives to help in as many ways as it can, including by offering expert business advice in their company's blog. Weitz added, "Advertising strategies, managing payroll, and handling employees are topics we know a lot about. We make an effort to share this knowledge with our clients."
Donate to Smile Train today at http://www.smiletrain.org and follow our team's record on our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/UnitedCapitalSource.
The named charities have not acknowledged or endorsed the competition. United Capital Source does not accept or solicit donations. Financing inquiries should be completed on http://unitedcapitalsource.com.
