Wainwright, along with other panelists, will explain how to manage the difficult calculations and decisions when completing Form 8903 to claim the Section 199 domestic production activities deduction to corporate tax professionals.

The panelists will offer their perspectives on understanding vital definitions such as qualified production activities income (QPAI), domestic production gross receipts (DPGR) and qualifying production property. They will discuss figuring cost of goods sold and other deductions, expenses or losses, determining whether simplified deduction methods are possible, and tallying W-2 wages for the 50 percent limit. A question and answer session will be held with all participants after the presentation.

Wainwright has more than 25 years of experience in the area of taxation. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he serves a diverse client base including multinational, public and closely held companies. These clients inhabit a number of industries, including real estate and construction, manufacturing, distribution, technology, life sciences and private equity. He is the founder and leader of CB&H's Energy Tax Practice, which serves clients nationally and focuses on federal and state energy credits, deductions, utility rebates, exemptions and grants.
