TRAFFORD, PA, October 04, 2012 (Press-News.org) Sues Confections, LLC, a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania manufacturer of handcrafted confections and 3D chocolates is helping out good causes by offering pet lovers a sweet treat that gives back with every bite.

Sues Confections has created three flavors of chocolate candy bark with a unique twist. Every flavor represents and supports a different charitable cause with proceeds from every purchase benefitting non-profit organizations.

Fur A Home BARK is a classic mix of milk chocolate and pretzels and supports no-kill animal shelters. Fur A Cure BARK is white chocolate mixed with peppermint and is available with pink or purple candy embellishments in support cancer organizations. Dark chocolate lovers will enjoy Fur The Earth BARK which is a blend of dark chocolate, cranberries and nuts that supports earth conservation groups.

The idea for Chocolate BARK Fur Pet Lovers came about when Sue Crowe, owner of Sue's Confections met Lisa Lotito of Good Paws Good Cause, a manufacturer of branded apparel and accessories for people and pets. "We both were vendors at a 2011 Holiday Gift Show," explains Lotito. "I bought some of Sue's chocolate and was hooked! When I got home I thought about the possibility of working together to create a treat for pet lovers. I offer my customers dog snacks, so why not people snacks?"

Crowe, along with her husband and business partner, EJ, came up with three distinct flavors that are representative of the brands that Good Paws Good Cause carries. "We decided on recipes that would be symbolic of the charitable causes supported," explains Crowe.

The candy is on sale in select retail locations and on the GoodPawsGoodCause.org website. Each quarter pound bag sells for $5.75. There are fundraising opportunities for non-profit organizations and all three brands of the candy can be purchased wholesale in quarter pound, half pound and one pound quantities.
