The company behind TunePad, GearSprout LLC, wanted to create a fun and entertaining app that someone could play while waiting in line at the bank or at home to relax before going to sleep. Several users who have downloaded the application already have excitedly reported that their kids are huge fans of TunePad and that it is a great app for anyone who is interested in basic music creation. TunePad uses a pentatonic scale of notes to make sure any combination of sounds will still create a pleasant tune.

GearSprout LLC started developing apps in early 2012. The founders, Tommy Tornroos and Marshall Miller, both live and work in Marietta, Georgia. This startup tech-company is not the first for Tornroos as he started a multimedia company in 2006 called TuneTransfers.com, LLC to convert music and video media to CDs and DVDs.
