SOUTH MOLTON, UK, October 10, 2012 (Press-News.org) The business was set up by two 20 year old entrepreneurs, Curtis Hunter and Ben Keighley based in the South West, England. Their business dream came true on 1st June 2012.
"We tried setting the company up last summer but it didn't happen for a couple of reasons so we came back this year and started afresh. We made contacts through our part-time jobs and with GBP500 left of a student loan we set up YourStudentShoes.com. Both of us have been really inspired by the work ethic of our families and parents, this coupled with a long-standing interest in business seemed like the perfect way to make money. "
Along with putting in long hours each week to run the company, Curtis & Ben combine this with other jobs and university studying. Ben is as a Social Media and Marketing Manager in Guildford, Surrey whilst Curtis works as a Department Manager within a Topman Store and is in his second year of a Management Degree.
This hard work has seen the business be nominated for ' Online Business of the Year ' in regional awards in the South West along with high praise and support from the ex Defence Minister MP Nick Harvey for the work that has been put into the business.
Over the last 4 months the business has grown from strength to strength. Four months of great sales alongside 9000+ loyal Twitter followers and a strong fan base on Facebook means that the future's bright for YourStudentShoes.
The next step is placing a company student rep in every main university in the UK, with 14 reps currently operating in places like Cardiff, Hull & Ulster; hopefully this will soon become a reality!
