Fire Prevention Week Tip: One Simple Solution Can Help Prevent Fire Disasters

LifeShield's Smart Fire Detectors Will Signal Monitoring Center Immediately if Fire Starts When You're Not Home

2012-10-11
YARDLEY, PA, October 11, 2012 (Press-News.org) In recognition of Fire Prevention Week, LifeShield Security is highlighting the importance of practicing fire safety at home and the benefits of having a wireless home security system with fire safety sensors. LifeShield offers free fire monitoring with its Smart Fire Detectors that work with your existing hardwired smoke alarms, and send a signal to the monitoring center whenever smoke or heat is detected.

"While smoke detectors only sound off when smoke or heat is detected, the Smart Fire Detector goes the added step of alerting the LifeShield monitoring center, which in turn, contacts you immediately. Every second is critical, particularly if a fire starts when you are asleep, not at home, or simply unaware," said Louis Stilp, Founder and COO, LifeShield.

How It Works
Place the Smart Fire Detector right next to one of your existing hardwired smoke/heat detectors. Once the hardwired smoke detector is triggered, the Smart Fire Detector "hears" the alarm and sends a signal to the monitoring center. The monitoring center will contact you immediately, and help will be on the way.

To be most effective, customers are encouraged to put a Smart Fire Detector on each floor within about four inches of a smoke detector. The Smart Fire Detector will work with any hardwired smoke alarm. Customers who don't already have smoke and fire alarms can order fire, smoke and heat detectors straight from LifeShield.

Features and benefits of the LifeShield Fire Safety Sensor include:
- Low profile design
- 100% proprietary technology
- 24/7 professional FREE monitoring with a LifeShield system
- Easy to set up and integrate with your system

"LifeShield's Smart Fire Detector is 100 percent proprietary technology; you won't find this home security product anywhere else," added Stilp.

Napa-Valley based Master of Wine Tim Hanni suggests, however, that instead of offering wines based on what's on the table, hosts at upcoming holiday meals should choose ...
