"The Brain Lady" Debra Burdick is Featured Speaker at the 2012 ADHD Awareness Expo Online

New York-based ADHD expert Debra Burdick will share her tips and strategies for achieving successful results with ADHD kids, teens, and adults at the on-line event which is expected to have participants from 38 countries October 14-20

NEW YORK, NY, October 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) Debra Burdick, LCSW, BCN, also known as "The Brain Lady', is a featured speaker at the 2012 ADHD Awareness Expo, October 14-20, an on-line virtual community event for finding help and support for ADHD. Burdick will share her tips and strategies for achieving successful results with ADHD kids, teens, and adults. The online address for the free event is ADHDExpo.com, and it will stream 24 hours a day.

Thousands of people from more than 38 countries are expected to participate. The event, which can also be accessed by iPhone, iPad, and other mobile devices, will include other guest speakers, a Chat Room, and a virtual tour of the expo exhibits. The producer and host is Tara McGillicuddy of ADHD Support Talk Radio.

Burdick lectures throughout the year for CMI/PESI, an educational institute for professionals, and for other groups and organizations. She is a frequent speaker for teleseminars; earlier this week she was a featured speaker for Astrid Witt's teleseminar at WhatTheExpertsKnow.com where she offered advice on how to help your child succeed. She was also a featured guest on a TV show, Healing Holistically.

Burdick, a board-certified neurofeedback practitioner and licensed clinical social worker has provided outpatient psychotherapy and mindfulness skills to clients since 1990. She is unusually aware of challenges and successes related to ADHD as she parented a daughter with ADHD, and was married to a man with ADHD. She used mindfulness techniques to help herself heal from a chronic illness.

Burdick is the author of several books and CD's about ADHD diagnosis, treatment options, and alternative approaches for children, adults, and parents. Her work has been featured in Self Improvement Magazine, and she is an online expert at SelfGrowth.com.
