TRU-Vu Monitors Introduces New 15" Sunlight Readable Monitors

The newly released SRM-15 Series Sunlight Readable LCD monitors feature a 15" screen with 1,000 nits brightness. This enables the user to see clear, vibrant color images, even in direct bright sunlight.

2012-10-17
ARLINGTON, HEIGHTS, IL, October 17, 2012 (Press-News.org) TRU-Vu Monitors, a leading supplier of industrial-grade LCD monitors, has added a new 15" model to its family of Sunlight Readable monitors. The new SRM-15 Series monitors feature 1,000 nits brightness, enabling users to see clear, vivid color images even in direct, bright sunlight.

The SRM-15 Series are true Sunlight Readable monitors. Cheaper imports may claim this capability, but often only offer half the brightness. These will not produce suitable video images.

The SRM-15 Sunlight Readable monitors are ideal for a wide range of outdoor applications, or in vehicles, where bright sunlight makes standard monitors or laptop screens nearly invisible. Applications include pipeline inspection systems, ticket kiosks, in cars, trucks, helicopters, and trains, on ships and oil drilling rigs, at truck depots and loading docks, security/surveillance systems, outdoor advertisings, military and law enforcement systems and vehicles, and more.

The SRM-15 Series are built with industrial-grade components to withstand challenging environments. They feature 1024 x 768 resolution, VGA, S-Video and Composite (BNC) video inputs. They utilize reliable LED backlights for greater durability and longer life than traditional CCFL backlights.

The SRM-15 Series Sunlight Readable monitors are backed by a full 3-Year Warranty. They are also available with touch screens, or in open-frame configurations. A new, even brighter 1,500 nits model will be available shortly.
