MADISON, AL, October 10, 2010 (Press-News.org) Rocket City Sitters has been named the 2010 Madison Chamber of Commerce Start Up of the Year. In order to be considered for this prestigious award, the winning company had to first be nominated and then fill out an extensive application detailing their first year in business. Applications were reviewed by an outside committee to determine which company would be named Start Up of the Year. Finalists included Good Samaritan Hospice of Madison and Jenny Johnson, Independent Dove Chocolatier. It was Rocket City Sitters' innovative business plan and involvement in the community that set them apart to be named the winner.
In addition, owner Adrienne Stephens was honored with the Ambassador of the Year Award. As one of over fifty Ambassadors, Stephens was selected by her peers to win this honor due to her active involvement in the Chamber and her support toward fellow Chamber members. Ambassadors are the Chamber's core of volunteer professional members who serve to represent the Chamber in the community. This is the first year that this award has been given.
Rocket City Sitters was established to connect reliable, trustworthy, certified sitters with families needing short-term childcare in Huntsville, Madison County and surrounding areas. For more information, contact us at (256) 272-1727 or online at http://www.RocketCitySitters.com.
