THOUSAND OAKS, CA, October 19, 2012 (Press-News.org) Dr. Kouros Azar now offers plastic surgery patients in Thousand Oaks truSculpt, an advanced, non-invasive treatment for contouring the body.

"My patients want treatments with minimal discomfort so they can return to their daily activities immediately after the procedure," Dr. Azar says. "With truSculpt, patients get the convenience of a non-surgical procedure that takes only about an hour per session."

During a truSculpt treatment, radiofrequency energy targets deep layers of tissue to melt fat cells and temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite.

"This treatment is used on areas of the body that are prone to stubborn fat, including the buttocks and thighs," Dr. Azar says. "Each session typically lasts 1 hour. No pain medication is needed, and patients can expect to see results with just 1 to 2 sessions.

"Results will emerge gradually during the weeks that follow treatment, with final results becoming visible at about 3 months."

A board-certified plastic surgeon in Thousand Oaks, Dr. Azar has earned a reputation for offering the safest and most advanced procedures for treating a wide range of cosmetic concerns. He offers surgical and non-surgical treatments, and he personalizes each procedure to the patient's body type and individual goals.

"While truSculpt is effective for patients with small bulges of fat and moderate cellulite, some people may need more extensive procedures to achieve their cosmetic goals," Dr. Azar says. "In such cases, I may recommend tummy tuck surgery or liposuction in Thousand Oaks. Each procedure is customized to the needs of the patient for the best and most natural looking results."

Dr. Kouros Azar is a board-certified plastic surgeon serving Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Agoura Hills and Westlake Village. After earning his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Azar completed a general surgery residency at University of Arizona and a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at University of Utah. He is a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery. He performs a variety of reconstructive and cosmetic surgical techniques for the face, breast and body as well as offering a wide range of non-surgical aesthetic treatments.
