Realcomm's CoRE Tech 2012 Announces New Session: NextGen Lighting - Fast Track Update

Newly added session will provide an illuminating and fast-track OVERVIEW of next-generation lighting technology advancements.

2012-10-19
CARLSBAD, CA, October 19, 2012 (Press-News.org) Realcomm Conference Group, LLC, producers of CoRE Tech 2012, the leading networking and educational conference for the corporate real estate industry focused exclusively on technology, automation and innovation, has announced the addition of a lighting "hyper" session to this year's conference agenda. This session will provide an illuminating and fast-track OVERVIEW of next-generation lighting technology advancements.

The speed and breadth of innovation within the lighting industry continues to accelerate and widely impact everyone who touches a corporate real estate portfolio: real estate, facilities, energy, sustainability and IT - all share a vested interest in this topic. There are many new entrants in the lighting marketplace and a myriad of new applications, issues and technologies: LED lights, enhanced controls, network based lighting, BAS integration, sensor applications, wireless technologies and low voltage DC microgrids, all which are poised to dramatically impact building lighting strategies. This session will explore these topics.

"While there is a lot of information readily available on the Web, it can be overwhelming for an already overloaded real estate practitioner," said Jim Young, CEO and Founder of Realcomm. "Only at CoRE Tech can our attendees get the most important information from the leading lighting control vendors in one session to ensure they can take back and implement a successful and cost-efficient strategy."

Brian Dauskurdas, Director Global Energy of Lutron, one of the recognized leaders in the lighting control industry offering a wide selection of energy saving dimmers and lighting control solutions, will kick off the session with a state of the industry update. Following the update, Geoffrey Kasselman, SIOR, LEED AP, Founder/President & CEO of Op2mize and an award-winning digital real estate strategist, will showcase some of the best and brightest new entrants into the lighting world, including solutions by Adura, Cavet, Daintree, Digital Lumens, Osram Sylvania Encellium, Enlighted, Eutricity, Fifth Light Technologies, Redwood and Wattstopper.

CoRE Tech 2012 will be held November 13-14 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in the Chicago Metro area. For more information and to register, visit http://www.realcomm.com/coretech-2012.
