2012-10-20
LONDON, ENGLAND, October 20, 2012 (Press-News.org) After just 12 weeks, R&R Ice Cream's frozen yogurt Yoomoo has become the fastest selling range in the mini tub sector bringing in GBP1.7m sales (Source: AC Nielsen 12 weeks 26.05.12) and 74 per cent incremental spend (Source: Kantar 12 weeks 13.05.12) to the category. Following the launch in March 2012 and a GBP2.4m marketing push, brand awareness has more than doubled, helping to sell 1.34m pots across the major mults (Source: AC Nielsen 12 weeks 26.05.12). This success has meant that Yoomoo has become the UK's number one frozen yogurt brand.

In March this year, R&R Ice-cream UK LTD and Yoomoo Frozen Yogurt launched the innovative and exciting 'at home' range of frozen yogurt. Available in all major supermarkets, both the 150ml and 750ml range have performed exceptionally. The 150ml mini pots range has become the fastest selling range in the sector with strawbswirlmoo taking top spot!

Yoomoo frozen yogurt can be found in supermarkets nationwide including Asda, Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Morrison's and Co-Op. Following a campaign featuring TV, print, digital & PR Yoomoo has seen a significant rise in awareness of the brand. In a recent survey 27% (Source: Relish quant research June 2012) of those asked would recommend Yoomoo. Brand awareness has also risen from 21% to 45% (Source: Relish quant research June 2012) in just a few short months. (Source: Kantar 12 weeks 13.05.12)

Yoomoo's presence continues to increase out of home with stylish yogurt bars nationwide including Harrods, Canary Wharf, and Westfield Stratford shopping centre, London. The expansion of the brand continues with a new store set to open in central London as well as overseas projects including Switzerland and Greece.

Charlotte Hambling, Senior Marketing Manager at R&R Ice-cream LTD, comments:

"The consumer response to the Yoomoo launch has been extremely healthy in terms of uptake. The brand has already achieved excellent traction in the market with encouraging sales and most importantly Yoomoo is bringing incremental spend to the ice cream category of 74% (Source: Kantar 12 weeks 13.05.12). Our consumer research identified a clear gap for 'fro yo' and the Yoomoo range specifically delivers against these consumer need states. We will continue to develop and invest in the brand, further engaging with our target market."
