ENGLEWOOD, CO, October 20, 2012 (Press-News.org) Dedicated to providing resources to those in need and charities both locally and abroad, the Global Care Foundation, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) subsidiary of Global Communications Group, Inc. (GCG) will hold a winter coat collection drive on October 25, 2012 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the lobby of their headquarters located at 10333 East Dry Creek Road in Englewood, Colo.
The Global Care Foundation is joining in on a long-standing tradition to keep Coloradoans warm during the winter months by collecting new and gently used warm winter coats for Coats for Colorado, a non-profit organization that provides winter coats at no cost to Coloradoans of all ages.
"The Global Care Foundation is honored to partner with Coats for Colorado and collect warm winter coats this season," said Joel St. Germain, founder of the Global Care Foundation. "With winter knocking on our door, it is urgent that we collect as many coats as possible for our fellow Coloradoans in need."
All of the coats donated at the Global Care Foundation's coat drive will be taken to a local Dependable Cleaners location and from there will be distributed through their non-profit subsidiary, Coats for Colorado. Coats for Colorado will distribute the coats to charitable organizations, homeless shelters and thousands of Coloradoans in need. Since 1982, Coats for Colorado has collected and donated more than 1.8 million coats and is recognized as the state's largest coat drive and the nation's largest per capita coat drive.
