INDIANAPOLIS, IN, October 21, 2012 (Press-News.org) The American Public Power Association (APPA) is hosting their annual Customer Connections Conference. This year's conference will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana starting on October 21st and going through the 24th. This conference is designed to target utility professionals in the areas of Customer Services, Economic Development, Energy Services, Key Accounts, and Public Communications.
The Economic Development target group is new as of this year. Utility companies have started a recent trend towards focusing more on Economic Development and this conference will help support that movement.
Aaron Brossoit, Vice President of Business Development for Golden Shovel Agency, was asked to speak at this years conference to help support the innovative idea of power companies branching out into economic development and utilizing the online world to help them make themselves known. The topic he will be speaking on is "Innovative Communication Methods for Economic Development".
"The APPA is again showcasing leadership in their forward thinking programming. By continually focusing on innovative ways to combine the internet and economic development, the APPA doesn't just benefit public power, but the entire country," said Brossoit.
