Chesa Wazzau is a Swiss idyll out of a picture book: a typical Engadine house from the 17th century, you feel as if traveling back in time a couple of hundred years. The house was restored preserving its original character with vaulted ceilings, windows deeply embedded into the walls and the typical sgraffito decorations.
The chalet is located in the small village of Bever, surrounded by beautiful Alpine landscape and St. Moritz just a couple of minutes away. It is the perfect retreat to spend a relaxing holiday in the Upper Engadine.
With four peaks, 350 km of snowy slopes, 150 km of hiking trails and 190 km of cross-country slopes, Engadin St. Moritz is one of the largest and best winter sport areas in Switzerland.
Montagne Alternative, Commeire, Switzerland
Montagne Alternative is a small hamlet in the Swiss Alps overlooking the Mont Blanc massif. The ancient village was left abandoned for many years before new life was given to this tiny, exquisite reminder of the past. Montagne Alternative offers five authentic and beautifully restored barns -- each named after its last inhabitant oozing with its own history and atmosphere. The barns now turned chalets can be rented exclusively (sleeping 4, 6, 8 and 10 people) or on an individual room basis.
Commeire is a remote hamlet in the Val d'Entremont in the Swiss Valais. Perched at an altitude of 1,450m, Montagne Alternative is privileged to look upon the majestic peaks of Mont-Blanc and Mont Velan.
The ski resort 'Les 4 Vallees' and its more than 400km of pistes is just around the corner. There are several smaller resorts as well and the property also offers guided snowshoe walks, dogsledding or an introduction to ski touring.
La Vallee Blanche, Verbier, Switzerland
La Vallee Blanche is located right in the heart of Verbier, about 150m from the ski lift, in a building from the 1970s that has been meticulously redesigned using old wood to regain the alpine charm. The apartment rental sleeps up to 10 people and comes with all modern amenities you could wish for and a dedicated concierge service to fulfill your every wish.
Verbier is considered quite fashionable, trendy and glamorous, but at the same time it's very sporty. Nobody goes there just for the crowd. They all come here for the skiing. And that's just what you should do -- go skiing!
