Buyers Meeting Point is Announcing a New Option for Procurement Professionals Seeking Certification Credits
2012-10-24
BOSTON, MA, October 24, 2012 (Press-News.org) "Buyers Meeting Point believes in supporting continuing education among supply management and procurement professionals. To this end, we are instituting a process and structure to accept article submissions from practitioners and researchers, provide editorial feedback, and then publish qualified articles on our website for continuing education credits valid towards professional recertification," said Buyers Meeting Point Co-owner Kelly Barner. "We intend to provide a forum for practitioners to establish their professional experience and share it with their peers."

In order to facilitate this process, Buyers Meeting Point put in place an editorial review board that represents diverse professional and international perspectives including consulting, authorship, industry experience, and professional association leadership.

Buyers Meeting Point worked closely with a number of professional associations to secure approval in advance for the process and standards put in place. The American Purchasing Society (APS), Association for Operations Management (APICS), and Institute for Supply Management (ISM) have all approved the process and quality standards and given an estimate of the certification credits, points, or continuing education hours candidates may earn by having an article reviewed and published through Buyers Meeting Point.

For a complete list of quality and content standards as well as the process for submission, please visit http://buyersmeetingpoint.com/careers/professional-article-submissions.
