RALEIGH, NC, October 26, 2012 (Press-News.org) ABC11 Eyewitness News (http://www.abc11.com) has announced that Community Affairs Specialist and host of Heart of Carolina Perspectives Angela Hampton will serve as the emcee for the North Carolina Lung Cancer Partnership's Free To Breathe walk and run event on Saturday, Nov. 3, presented by Duke Raleigh Cancer Center. The event, which aims to raise awareness and support in the fight against lung cancer, will take place in North Hills at 4028 Six Forks Road starting at 8 a.m. Attendees may show their support for the cause by participating in the event's 5K race or one-mile walk/run as well as making a donation. The event will begin with registration and check-in, music, food, and entertainment. For lung cancer survivors, a breakfast will take place at 8 a.m., followed by a rally and survivor ceremony. A one-mile walk/run led by survivors will occur at 9 a.m., and the 5K will begin at 9:30 a.m. After the 5K, participants will be able to enjoy awards, food, child-friendly entertainment provided by Games2U Mobile Entertainment and an expo area.
