AYRSHIRE, SCOTLAND, October 12, 2010 (Press-News.org) JB Management has secured Skills Development Scotland funding, and can now offer Ayrshire companies 16-19 year old Business and Administration assistants for 13 weeks under the Targeted Pathways to Apprenticeship programme.
JB Management is currently recruiting 12 young people to place into Ayrshire-based companies.
The objective of this programme is to increase the employment skills of school leavers, and increase their employability to future employers by gaining valuable commercial experience.
Details of the Targeted Pathways to Apprenticeship:
* Applicants all have General/Credit Level education.
* Placement companies should offer work experience for a period of 13 weeks within an administration environment.
* The working week will be 4 days.
* Candidates will be required to attend classroom training at JB Management once a month.
* JB Management will pay youngster GBP55 per week and Placement companies will pay GBP20 per week.
* The candidates will pay GBP3 towards their travel expenses and the remainder will be reimbursed by JB Management.
* JB Management administers the SDS paperwork for the candidate with employer supplying weekly administration on attendance etc.

Skills Development Scotland Funding
JB Management currently has fully funded spaces for Business Administration, Logistics, Warehousing and Storage and Occupational Health and Safety NVQs for employees under the age of 20. Vocational Qualifications are work based qualifications, thus little 'down time' is needed. One of JB Management's occupationally competent assessors will visit on a regular basis and guide the candidate through the qualification.
Furthermore the company offer a free recruitment service when considering a Modern Apprentice. Bill Ure (MD) explained that he offers this service at no cost because: "I believe we all have an economic and social responsibility to assist the youth of today in securing employment and developing their potential. They are Scotland's future after all."
