Arizona Author Makes Waves with New Digital Book Release SS Roulette

Underhill's novel, SS Roulette, brings unparalleled suspense and entertainment while also delivering a semi-historical account of the U.S. government's illegal actions during the country's Prohibition.

2012-11-01
SCOTTSDALE, AZ, November 01, 2012 (Press-News.org) New Author Douglas Underhill , has recently released his first digital book. Underhill's novel, SS Roulette, brings unparalleled suspense and entertainment while also delivering a semi-historical account of the U.S. government's illegal actions during the country's Prohibition.

After accidentally uncovering classified files buried deep inside archives of a Los Angeles off-shore drilling corporation, two friends decide to risk their lives in search of a clandestine sunken gambling ship off the coast of Catalina Island. However, these two friends quickly find themselves locked in the U.S. government's skeleton closet. Espionage, murder, adultery, court battles and government cover-ups all set the scene for this riveting tale about the U.S. government's partnership with one of the most powerful organized crime families in the world. What they will find is more shocking than anything they could have ever imagined
Douglas Underhill was born in 1955 in Manhattan Beach California; 10 years later moved to Lake Havasu, Arizona. At the age of 19, he started his own business with partner Robert McCulloch Jr. best known for developing Aspen, Fountain Hills and the city of Lake Havasu. Both became significant pioneers in the early industry of custom designed home audio, theatre, and alarm systems. They thrived in the Beverly Hills area from early 70s to the 80s.

In 1982 Underhill started a second office in Scottsdale, Arizona believing the real estate market would explode there in the next 20 years. It did and he left the LA area and capitalized on the North Scottsdale construction boom.

Underhill has recently retired from the audio installation business and spends part of his time at his Durga Ranch in Cave Creek, Arizona and his home in Kauai while working on hew titles.
