LAWRENCE, KS, November 03, 2012 (Press-News.org) Many people find themselves embarrassed by their "spider veins" in their legs, but don't realize there is a treatment available to help eliminate these veins. AesthetiCare, MedSpa in Lawrence, is excited to offer Sclerotherapy, which is a popular method of closing down or obliterating spider angiomata and superficial telangiectasias (spider veins).
Sclerotherapy is often considered the treatment of choice for small varicose veins, and involves injecting a solution directly into the vein. The Sclerotherapy solution causes the vein to scar and collapse, which then forces the blood to reroute through healthier veins. The collapsed vein is then reabsorbed into local tissue and eventually fades. After Sclerotherapy, treated veins tend to fade within a few weeks, although it may occasionally take up to a month to see the actual results. In some instances, multiple treatment sessions will be needed for the best results.
"We understand that spider veins are often unappealing to the eye. For this reason, we are excited to offer our patients Sclerotherapy for the removal of their spider veins. In as little as one visit, our patients can experience results," said Matt Taranto of AesthetiCare, Lawrence MedSpa.
Ardeth Arman, RN, BSN, MS recently joined the Lawrence staff as the Sclerotherapist provider. She joins AesthetiCare, Lawrence, KS MedSpa, with six years of treatment experience as a Sclerotherapist. Ardeth started her nursing career as a Neonatal Intensive Care nurse working for five years with fragile infants and their families.
In 2006, she transitioned from the hospital setting to an independent clinical setting at which she underwent extensive training learning how to perform the very technical and meticulous art of Sclerotherapy. Additionally, Ardeth Arman has trained at the prestigious Vascular and Vein Center in Birmingham, Alabama, which is nationally and internationally considered one of the premier vein centers in the world.
"It is an honor to continue to provide patients with the treatment they are looking for to eliminate unsightly spider veins. It is my pleasure to offer my patients a way to be happy with the appearance of their skin because even small positive changes can dramatically improve a person's quality of life," said Ardeth Arman of AesthetiCare, MedSpa offering Lawrence laser hair removal.
Through the availability of Sclerotherapy, patients can now say goodbye to spider veins. Patients are encouraged to visit AesthetiCare, MedSpa offering Lawrence Botox, for more information on this treatment and to find out if it is an appropriate procedure for the removal of their spider veins. For more information on Sclerotherapy, or other treatments such as Lawrence dermal fillers, patients can visit AesthetiCare's website at http://www.greatskinkc.com.
