Rapid Tracker with Improved Geo-Fencing Features for Children's Safety

Instant Safety Alert Notifications Give Busy Parents Peace of Mind for Keeping up with children's whereabouts; Manage Multiple Family Devices from Any Smart or Non-Smart phone with Rapid Protect's Web Enabled Innovative Mobile Security Platform.

2012-11-08
PRINCETON, NJ, ovember 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) Rapid Protect (www.rapidprotect.com), home of popular Rapid Tracker family safety apps and cloud-service applications for consumers, announced enhancements to security features that provide added peace of mind to busy families on the go by keeping their children safe.

About Geo-Fencing

The Geo-fence feature sets predefined location markers on the map for children. It allows parents to ensure their children's safety and know where they are at all times by tracking the location of their mobile device. With Geo-fencing capabilities, parents can establish virtual geographic location boundaries to define where their children should be and receive an instant email or SMS alert in the event that a child strays from that location. Parents can also set Geo-fence time parameters to receive an alert if their child does not arrive within a specified location within a certain time period.

Geo-fencing can help in many ways. For example, parents can establish a Geo-fence around their neighborhood block to alert them when a child arrives at home from school. Or, in the case of a child who is dropped off at the sports field or an after-school function, a Geo-fence can alert parents if the child leaves the designated boundaries. Parents can set and edit Geo-fence boundaries through the Rapid Protect web portal. Multiple geo-points can be set for any user. There are many other types of conditional alerts that will be coming soon.

"Families are busy and the children want to have their own life. Rapid Tracker Apps are designed to ensure that one can help their family members when they need their help and support without being with them," said Dr. B. Kumar, COO at Rapid Protect. "Geo-fence is yet another useful layer to help you ensure your family remains safe without you constantly checking each other's whereabouts at all times," he added.

Rapid Protect has also integrated the offender search feature for the US market. It will let you know about any sex offenders residing in nearby your areas.

The new Photo Vault feature for Rapid Protect provides a family common place to upload their photos from their mobile phones. All family members can upload their photos to a common vault giving them the ability to share their photos within the secure environment of Rapid Tracker. For instance, a user can upload the photo from a hotel when on a business trip or a student can upload the photos from his or her college or dorm.

Geo-fence and Photo Vaults are available for Rapid Tracker subscribers on the mobile platform, bolstering the company's commitment to protecting families through innovative, easy-to-use mobile phone security applications.

Rapid Tracker is the only family safety app for mobile users that supports all smart phones (iPhone, Android, Blackberry) and Non-smart feature phones. It was the first company to integrate advanced geo-fencing capability in its web-platform. In addition, the apps have advanced photo-check-in features that can help families connect together.
