Bartech to Unveil Latest Innovations in Automatic Minibar Technology at Equip'Hôtel 2012

Paris hotel show marks two decades of continued advancement in automatic minibar technology and industry firsts available only from Bartech.

2012-11-09
PARIS, November 09, 2012 (Press-News.org) Bartech, a world leader in automatic profit-generating minibar solutions for the hospitality industry, announced today that it will be showcasing its comprehensive product line at Equip'Hôtel 2012, taking place November 11-15 at Porte De Versailles in Paris, France. In addition to their already extensive selection of customizable automatic minibars designed to maximize revenue and save hoteliers time and money through increased efficiency, Bartech will also be introducing three new product solutions this year at Hall 2 Booth D56. These recent innovations include the energy efficient Neobar, a stand-alone eTray and new web-based minibar management software.

Bartech has been participating at the Equip'Hôtel show since 1992, when they introduced the world's first fully automated open-display minibar to the hospitality industry. Continuing their reputation as a technology innovator, Bartech has since showcased new product solutions, such as the industry's first windows minibar management system in 1998, the first Wi-Fi enabled automatic minibar in 2004, and the first integration of automatic minibars within a network of in-room devices communicating on the wireless ZigBee platform in 2008.

This year, Bartech is debuting its revolutionary Neobar, filling a need in the industry for an eco-friendly automatic minibar with all the same design and technology options currently available. The Neobar line is a new generation of automatic minibars with energy consumption rates as low as 0,20 Kwh per day when used in conjunction with Bartech's Computerized Energy Saving System. This energy saving solution utilizes a compressor cooling unit and complies with all environmental certification standards, using next-generation materials, such as cyclopentane insulation and climate-friendly refrigerant R600a, to achieve its "green" minibar status. The Neobar offers the same level of control and customization as hotels have come to love in existing Bartech automatic minibar models.

Also being introduced at Equip'Hôtel 2012 is the new stand-alone eTray, the first ever fully automatic solution to work in hotels that do not have existing automatic minibars. This advance in in-room retailing makes it possible for a hotel to sell any non-refrigerated product, sending charges automatically to the guest folio via an interface with the hotel's property management system (PMS). Stand-alone eTrays are managed through Bartech's software and communicate wirelessly to a server using proprietary ZigBee devices. Like all Bartech products, eTrays are available in various sizes and flexible finishes to fit any in-room decoration.

Further strengthening its position as the market's leading technology innovator, Bartech will also be conducting demonstrations of the first-ever web-based minibar management software, know as Webbart. Webbart features next generation improvements over current Windows-based management software and comes with web-based interfaces and PMS integrations, highlighting Bartech's unique ability to design and build the world's most technically advanced automatic minibars. Bartech has made the Webbart software package exceptionally easy to use. It can be utilized on the simplest Internet browser, thus making specific client PC installations a thing of the past. Webbart has been designed and developed using only cutting edge software technologies, such as WCF and ASP.NET, and complies with the most stringent network security standards.

"The same spirit of innovation that has made us the only company to create true custom minibars for hotels, is the same one that has guided our hand in the development of Neobar, the stand-alone eTray and Webbart," said Vicente Martin-Pascual, President of Bartech EMEA. "New innovations, like those showcased at Equip'Hôtel, are the direct result of needs expressed to us by our hotel clients. We are constantly tuned-in to the industry and will continue to enhance our minibar offerings to better service our clients around the globe."
