Wine and Design Mount Pleasant Surprises Local Non-Profits and Businesses with "22 Days of Giving"

Wine and painting party company "Paints It Forward" by offering free works of art to companies and organizations starting November 1st

2012-11-10
MOUNT PLEASANT, SC, November 10, 2012 (Press-News.org) Wine and Design Mount Pleasant will be surprising local businesses and non-profits from November 1st to Thanksgiving Day with their newest "Paint It Forward" event. To celebrate its one-year anniversary, as well as the upcoming holiday, the company is sponsoring "22 Days of Giving" where they will be donating original works of art or Wine and Design gift certificates to selected businesses in the Mount Pleasant area each day.

Wine and Design Mount Pleasant opened its doors one year ago. The painting party company provides the canvas, apron, paints, paintbrushes, and corkscrew and the attendees provide a beverage of his or her choosing. First-time painters, aspiring artists, or self-proclaimed pro's browse the studio's website to find a painting they would like to replicate. Sessions are led by local artists that guide participants through a carefully-orchestrated, step-by-step process that promises a finished "masterpiece" at the end of the two-hour session. Owner and operator, Heather Speizman, says that "Paint It Forward" events are one of her favorites and allow her and her studio to directly give back to a community that has supported her business so faithfully over the months.

"I love our community and am so grateful for everyone who has helped make my business a success," says Speizman. "Our '22 Days of Giving' is our way of giving back, in some small way, to those who have been so supportive and encouraging. Being surrounded by art and color just brings a touch of warmth and comfort to any space and leave you with a feeling of pride and accomplishment. We're looking forward to being able to offer these wonderful and unique gifts to our area businesses and non-profits."

Although the area has enjoyed having Wine and Design Mount Pleasant around for a year, Speizman actually co-owned a similar business—Bottles 'n Brushes—for three years before joining the popular Wine and Design franchise. She now operates five successful studios in South Carolina. Speizman hopes to open five more studios in South Carolina, as well expand into Florida, Georgia, and Ohio.

"I love introducing people to the world of art," says Speizman. "The beauty of Wine and Design is that we appeal to everyone. Those with no artistic experience can absolutely create a masterpiece! I believe you can do anything if you are taught step by step. From first-time painters to accomplished artists, everyone who walks through the door is guaranteed to have a good time and to walk out with a personalized work of art, great memories, and hopefully a new friend or two!"

In addition to adult classes, Wine and Design also offers ART BUZZ KIDS classes which are tailored to children and young adults. Their "famous" ART BUZZ KIDS camp combines hand-built pottery and art during week-long art camps over eight sessions. Speizman says that after four years in the making, these camps routinely sell out within 24 hours.

Wine and Design Mount Pleasant is currently accepting reservations for November painting sessions. To view available paintings and to register online, visit http://www.wineanddesignus.com/MountPleasant or call (843) 388-7857.
