Edwin Hung is a recently retired Reader* of Philosophy at the University of Waikato, New Zealand. He obtained his doctoral degree (D.Phil.) from Oxford University. He has been an honorary fellow of Oxford's Linacre College, a visiting scholar at Harvard University, MIT and the Minnesota Center for the Philosophy of Science, as well as a research associate of the Center of Philosophy and History of Science at Boston University. Among his many publications, he has written three books. (* Readers in the British system are equivalent to full professors in the US.)
