NORCROSS, GA, November 14, 2012 (Press-News.org) A.C. White Relocations, a moving company in Macon, GA, is pleased to announce that it is one of the sponsors of the 2012 Light More Homes Christmas Celebration, which benefits the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity.
Hosted at the Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. location of Chick-fil-A, 2012's Light More Homes Christmas Celebration is the fifth annual light display and third annual 5k run/walk to support local Habitat for Humanity efforts. This season-long event hopes to bring awareness to Bibb county residents about the issue of substandard housing. Inadequate housing is a problem faced by 23% of families in Bibb county and neighboring Jones county.
The Light More Homes Christmas Celebration begins on November 17th at 4:00PM with the third annual Light More Homes 5K run/walk. Race organizers expect over 300 runners to participate in the run/walk. After the race finishes, event organizers will light a 50,000-light Christmas display. The display, which is accompanied by music, will be available to view every night of the season from November 17th through December 31st at the Chick-fil-A on Tom Hill Sr. Blvd.
The issue of substandard housing is one that Habitat for Humanity has worked hard to help diminish in the Macon area. Since it was chartered in 1986, Macon Area Habitat for Humanity has built a total of 84 homes. It is currently working towards achieving a goal of building 46 new homes for low-income families by 2014 in the Lynmore Estates neighborhood.
"We are very excited to be able to sponsor the Light More Homes Christmas Celebration again this year," says Pete White, Vice President of Sales at A.C. White Relocations. "Habitat for Humanity is such a wonderful cause, and it warms our hearts to be able to help them to provide homes for families in need."
For 86 years, A.C. White Relocations has offered superior moving services throughout Georgia. Because the company has been family owned since its inception, it has deep ties to the communities it operates in and often participates in charitable events like the Light More Homes Christmas Celebration. This is the Macon moving company's second year as a sponsor for Light More Homes, and it looks forward to sponsoring such a worthwhile cause further in the future.

2012-11-14
Eyeglasses retailer America's Best encourages those in need of reading glasses to seek a prescription pair, rather than those sold over the counter.
Although over-the-counter eyeglasses can help some with reading, for many people this can actually add to the strain of reading rather than relieving it.
Because everyone's vision is so unique, it can be difficult to find the exact prescription glasses you need without the input of an eye doctor. Using a pair of reading glasses that are not for you can have you squinting because they will not meet your eyes' exact needs. ...
