Pine River Ranch Bed and Breakfast to Honor Vets This November

LEAVENWORTH, WA, November 17, 2012 (Press-News.org) Just because Veteran's Day is over, doesn't mean our support for the troops ends. Pine River Ranch, along with hundreds of inns and BnB's throughout the U.S. and Canada are honoring active and retired veterans with lodging discounts. Many BnB's joined the campaign called B&Bs for Vets, where they opened their doors with complimentary stays for vets on November 11, 2012 so they can have a great night's sleep and the pampering they deserve; but Pine River Ranch didn't end the support there. They are extending a discount to our military men and women for 25% off their two nights or longer mid-week stay the entire month of November. Also, year round at Pine River Ranch they give a complimentary bottle of wine to active military heroes during their stay.

"We loved opening our doors to more Vets and showing our support beyond Veteran's Day." said David Westergard, host at Pine River Ranch BnB. "It is just a small way we can say thank you for all the sacrifices military troops and their family's make every day."

The B&Bs for Vets program started in 2008 when Kathleen Panek, co-owner of the Gillum House and a handful of other innkeepers in West Virginia opened their doors to veterans in honor of Veteran's Day. The program grew in popularity among innkeepers, and last year more than 900 inns in the US and Canada participated by offering free rooms to vets. This year, the Professional Association of Innkeepers International will coordinate the B&Bs for Vets program as a way to help veterans learn about today's B&B experience.
