Affectation Launches Versatile Interchangeable Apparel on Kickstarter

FISHERS, IN, November 21, 2012 (Press-News.org) Affectation, a new clothing line utilizing magnetic attachments for interchangeability, launches today on crowd-funding website Kickstarter. The line uses patent-pending technology which makes clothing easier to put on and take off, and gives the wearer unprecedented versatility, value, and new options never before seen in clothing.

Now available for pre-order on the Kickstarter page, Affectation uses proprietary technology developed in-house by Stikeleather Apparel Group. The flexibility of style created by the magnetic closures in Affectation's pieces allows wearers to become their own fashion designers. With no sewing necessary, wearers can add accents, reverse looks, and conveniently transition from day to night with the ease of a single click.

"Versatility was our main objective when developing Affectation," Ian Stikeleather, founder and creative director said. "We want to see our wearers creating looks and combinations with our clothing that we haven't thought of yet."

With Affectation clothing, the possibilities are nearly endless. Wearers can easily remove, reverse or change out the collar and cuffs on our dress shirts for a night out, or add a hood and remove the collar. A reversible vest can be worn with or without lapels and paired with the matching and also reversible skirt this combo can create four distinct outfits with just two garments. Affectation even has a necktie that can easily switch out tails to match, or contrast, the knot.

Reaching the Kickstarter goal will enable Stikeleather Apparel Group to begin sampling and US manufacturing, keeping jobs close to home with samples and production in Chicago.
