A Whole New Hue: How to Rock Colored Hosiery and Colored Tights From AlexBlake.com
2012-11-22
LONDON, ENGLAND, November 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) Having seen newest Twilight recruit Mackenzie Foy (the 12 year old cutie that plays Renesmee) rocking white tights at the Breaking Dawn: Part 2 premiere in LA this week, we got to thinking: how old is TOO old for colored hosiery? The general consensus seems to be that there's no age limit on style, but it is true that different age groups tend to gravitate towards different things. Here's our round up on what to wear, whatever your age.

Crazy Kids
Oh, the days when you could wear anything you wanted and it just looked right. We miss being 5. Anything goes when you're under 10 - but our guess is your little ones will love bold and bright patterns. Little princesses will look adorable in the Pex's Cotton Rich Tights in Pink, while energetic toddlers will look super cute in the Country Kids Dot Children's Tights.

Trendy Teens
Teenagers look annoyingly great in anything so should make the most of it in bold colours and funky patterns. Neon tights look sensational, as do bright prints from brands such as Celeste Stein. Our favorite this season are the houndstooth designs from Henry Holland - available in blue and yellow or pink on dark pink for a head turning, so-hot-it-hurts look.

Lovely Ladies
As you leave your teenage years, you might find yourself hankering after something a little less outrageous. Lots of us fall into the trap of immediately switching to black opaques because we don't know what works for us now. Basically, anything still goes as long as you pull it off with style. Pastels are generally good for teaming with anything, but if you want to go bolder opt for block color in fashion led shades- this season, it's all about deep plums, rusts and rich burgundy hues.

Elder Belles
Don't get us wrong, we've seen the 60+ generation rocking patterns, prints and the boldest colours out there, but in our experience most of the older age groups are wary of wearing anything too crazy. That's ok though, because you can still work a gorgeous color palette - try going for deep or neutral colours like bottle green and luscious pearly gray shades.

You can use these tips all year round to vamp up your look. We're not telling you what to wear - when it comes to hosiery the only rule is that anything goes if you rock it with enough confidence. All you need to remember is that you're NEVER too old for colored tights!

The aim of AlexBlake.com is to have hosiery suitable for every size, shape and occasion. To make sure that you find exactly what you want, products have been examined in detail as well as being tested so that every aspect of each product is clearly described in simple terms.
