PORTLAND, OR, November 28, 2012 (Press-News.org) Rocco Leo Gaglioti Host/Creator of Fashion News Live will be the Host of the Heart and Sole event on December 1, 2012 at Buzz Siler's Gallery in the very hip and fashionable Pearl District of downtown Portland, Oregon.
Gaglioti, Fashion Expert and Celebrity personality, has been involved with many philanthropic causes, including the Miss and Mister Deaf International Pageant held this year in Ankara, Turkey and also, through the United Nations, The Clean Water Initiative Conference held in the Ukraine.
Soles4Souls collects new shoes to give relief to the victims of abject suffering and collects used shoes to support micro-business efforts to eradicate poverty.Soles4Souls' other two divisions, Clothes4Souls and Hope4Souls, provide the same relief and support through clothing and other necessities.
The event, Produced by Soles4Souls Spokesperson Nicola Lewis and Co-Produced by Jewel Mignon will be a living art installation showcasing hand-painted shoes by national and local artists especially for this event. The shoes, donated by HooDoo Shoes, will be worn by models wearing body-painted couture and auctioned off at the end of the evening along with other works of fashion and art, all donated by very generous artist and designers.
All proceeds from the silent auction will go directly to soles4souls to provide shoes to children and adults to allow them to go to school and work and help them elevate their own families and in the end, their own society and villages.
