AsiaRooms.com - Index Interior Design Show Heading to Dubai

The Dubai World Trade Centre is set to host the 20th anniversary of the Index Interior Design Show.

2010-10-15
DUBAI, UAE, October 15, 2010 (Press-News.org) Tourists hoping to pick up a few household style tips during their time in Dubai should make sure they do not miss the Index Interior Design Show.

Set to take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre between November 8th and 11th 2010, some of the biggest names in the sector will be present to show off their latest products.

Now in its 20th year, a special anniversary showcase has been created for the occasion featuring 20 fittings and pieces of furniture intended to raise eyebrows and turn heads.

Among these breathtaking and thought-provoking items will be a bathtub styled on a high-heeled shoe, which is covered in mosaics made using precious glass tiles.

"The tub offers the ultimate soak as water trickles down from the top of the tub massaging the shoulders," the organisers explained.

A chair created by Kenneth Cabonpue from The Philippines that is inspired by the blossoming of a flower will also be on display.

Although Index is primarily geared at trade visitors, tourists staying in Dubai hotels are free to attend between 16:00 and 21:00 local time on Wednesday November 10th, and from 11:00 until 18:00 the following day.

Tickets can be purchased on the door for 50 UAE dirhams (GBP8.50) per person.

For more information on this event, visit the Index Interior Design Show website or contact the organisers on (+971) 4 438 0355.
