The Holiday Ferret, feels that the vacation or holiday can still be affordable, and has pointed out two savings from electing to stay in self catering accommodation, as the holiday makers save on the cost of accommodation sometimes as much as 40%, and also the cost of food is greatly reduced, as tourists make their own rather than buy it from restaurants and food outlets.
